GTTC-NW Faculty

GTTC-NW programs are intended for counselors, educators, psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and other allied health professionals who wish to deepen their theoretical understanding of human dynamics, and to sharpen their treatment and diagnostic skills. Reading, lecture, demonstration, and experiential work are combined to offer participants a range of learning opportunities.

Eva Gold, Psy.D., is a licensed psychologist in private practice providing individual psychotherapy, couples therapy, and consultation/supervision. She has been practicing Gestalt therapy since 1978. She studied extensively with both Isadore From and Bob Martin, DSW, as well as attending the Graduates Program at the Gestalt Training Center - San Diego. She is the author of numerous articles and book chapters on the theory and practice of Gestalt therapy, and has been a presenter and trainer in the United States, Canada, and Australia. Her current interest is the integration of Gestalt therapy and Buddhist Psychology

Jon Frew, Ph.D., is a licensed psychologist in private practice. He completed the 3 year Post Graduate Training Program at the Gestalt Institute of Cleveland in 1981. He has conducted workshops and led training groups in the United States, Canada, and Australia. He is on the faculty of Pacific University School of Professional Psychology. He is the author of numerous articles on Gestalt therapy theory and practice, and is on the editorial board of the international journal, Gestalt Review.

Steve Zahm, Ph.D., is a licensed psychologist in private practice. He is a graduate of the Gestalt Training Center - San Diego. A trainer since the mid 1970s, he was one of the first to offer ongoing Gestalt therapy training in the Portland/Vancouver area. He has written numerous articles and book chapters on Gestalt therapy theory and practice, and has a special interest in bringing Gestalt therapy into academic settings. He is currently a Professor at Pacific University School of Professional Psychology, where he has taught Gestalt therapy since 1980.He currently also teaches couple therapy and group therapy, and is a supervisor for couples and groups.
